Hi again! I’m Megan Reinhardsen, RN.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) from Rutgers University. Originally from Seattle, WA, I spent the better part of a decade nursing in New York City in a variety of specialties: medical-surgical, telemetry, step-down, ortho, and COVID.
It was actually the COVID pandemic that set me on this path to becoming a medical copywriter. I felt broken as a bedside nurse. The issues surrounding the lack of medical literacy, access to healthcare, and ethical marketing associated with the medical industry frankly disgusted me. Although I loved interacting directly with patients - I even learned Spanish to lower the language barrier - I discovered that I could transfer my medical smarts and bedside communication skills to copywriting as a way to connect with patients on a greater scale.
Now as a copywriter, I’m a different sort of caregiver - helping those who help others. I enjoy collaborating with health and wellness professionals who are innovative, well-intentioned, and want to achieve abundance in their businesses and lives.
Connecting patients with the right services they deserve and helping experts who are committed to making a difference have the opportunity to do so is my bread and butter. I didn’t realize how fulfilling it would be to take such a far step away from the bedside.
